Helldivers 2 Update Boosts Gameplay and Introduces Space Cowboy Warbond

Helldivers 2 receives a fresh update with critical balance tweaks and bug fixes for Sony's cooperative third-person shooter.

Patch 01.002.200 refines the balance of various weapons and stratagems. Arrowhead, the developer, has enhanced the game’s AI processing capabilities, particularly in scenarios with numerous enemies, improving their reaction times. This upgrade slightly impacts performance, according to Arrowhead.

As a result, Automatons now pose a greater challenge, with faster reactions in large groups, making Helldivers 2’s bots smarter and more decisive.

A notable enhancement includes a revamped stratagem loadout menu with improved categorization for easier navigation.

Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled the Borderline Justice Warbond for Helldivers 2, embracing a space cowboy theme. It introduces weapons like the R-6 Deadeye lever-action rifle, LAS-58 Talon revolver secondary, and TED-63 Dynamite.

The GS-17 Frontier Marshal is a medium armor set aligned with the space cowboy aesthetic, alongside the GS-66 Lawmaker heavy armor, featuring a cowboy holster and bandolier. The Gunslinger passive boosts secondary weapon reload speed, draw/holster speed, and reduces recoil. The Warbond releases on March 20.

The Galactic War in Helldivers 2 currently centers on the Illuminate faction, which is advancing a black hole toward Super Earth. Speculation suggests future battles may take players to the Illuminate’s homeworld or defending Super Earth itself.

Intel indicates Automatons are reinforcing dropship hulls to counter anti-air efforts.
