Understanding Mudras:

Mudra, a Sanskrit term meaning "gesture" or "seal," signifies the creation of joy ("mud") and cheerfulness ("ra"). Originating in Hinduism and Buddhism, Mudras are employed in various traditions, including Bharatanatyam (200 Mudras), Mohiniattam (250 Mudras), and Tantric rituals (108 Mudras).
