The information, reportedly sourced from the anonymous online portfolio of a former Virtuos Studios developer, suggests a significant undertaking. The project, utilizing Unreal Engine 5, will reportedly feature extensive overhauls.

The remake will apparently be a complete reimagining of the original game. This includes substantial changes to core mechanics. Expect updated systems for stamina management, stealth, blocking, archery, damage feedback, and the user interface. The blocking system, for instance, is said to take inspiration from Soulslike games, aiming to address criticisms of the original's underwhelming implementation. Damage calculations and visual reactions to attacks will also be improved, alongside a more intuitive stamina system. The UI and archery mechanics will also receive modernizations.
