Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
In an exciting update, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) introduces a groundbreaking feature designed to assist players who may struggle with boss encounters. During the Koji Pro radio broadcasts' episode on April 14, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled that the game will include an option for players to bypass boss fights.
Kojima explained that upon reaching the game over screen, players can opt to "continue," which enables them to clear the boss encounter without engaging in combat. By choosing this path, players will be treated to a visual novel-style presentation, featuring images and text that narrate the battle's story. This approach ensures that players can still experience the essential narrative elements of the boss fight, making the game more accessible to a broader audience.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Hideo Kojima also shared an update on the game's development, stating that DS2 is currently 95% complete. He likened the game's progress to the time of day, saying, "It’s at about 95% now… It feels like it is 10 o’clock (PM), speaking of 24 hours, Koji Pro’s DS2 is at 10 o’clock (PM), there are 2 hours left."
DS2 is set to continue the narrative directly from where the first game left off. At last month's South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony provided further insights into the game, including a 10-minute trailer that delved into DS2's storyline and introduced new characters that have sparked significant interest among fans.
The trailer revealed a character resembling Solid Snake, along with other intriguing story elements and new features. Additionally, the event highlighted DS2's collector’s edition and outlined the pre-order bonuses.
