HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, along with enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all encouraging increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this record revenue.

This update demonstrated HoYoverse's ability to maintain player engagement far beyond the typical post-update spending drop-off. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even after two weeks, still exceeded $500,000 per day.

While exceptionally successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
