World of Warships: Blitz Launches Limited-Time Mode in Update 8.2

Jan 01,26

World of Warships: Blitz has launched its 8.2 update, introducing several high-speed vessels to the battlefield. The standout feature of this release is Turbo Strike, a brand-new game mode. In addition, there are numerous other enhancements. Read on for all the details.

What is Turbo Strike?

This new mode immerses you in combat with the welcome addition of respawns, allowing commanders to return to battle after their ship is destroyed. Victory still goes to the first team to reach 1,000 points or achieve a complete base capture. However, Turbo Strike features a single dedicated map and a continuous flow of combat buffs.

Randomized airdrop buffs appear at fixed intervals and can be stacked up to four times. After securing three eliminations, you unlock a guided missile that can be steered slightly before detonation. Furthermore, each class of warship receives Turbo Strike-specific attribute enhancements.

World of Warships: Blitz Update 8.2 also introduces Variable Torpedoes. This innovative feature rewards players for aggressive, close-quarters combat. Within a 0 to 6 km range, torpedoes inflict maximum damage, but beyond that, their destructive power gradually decreases, dropping to 60% at 12 km.

World of Warships: Blitz Update 8.2 Welcomes the French Fleet

French destroyers make their long-awaited debut in this update. The tech line begins with the Tier V L'Adroit, a versatile ship that pairs strong artillery and torpedoes with excellent mobility.

Progressing further, the Tier VII Le Hardi and Tier IX Orage continue this design philosophy, emphasizing stealth, rapid acceleration, and devastating short-range attacks.

From Tier VII onwards, these ships are equipped with the new Variable Torpedoes. They also feature the Emergency Engine Accelerator, a special consumable that boosts acceleration, deceleration, and maximum speed by 25% for 10 seconds.

This update also adds the Maine, a new Supership. You can download the game now from the Google Play Store.
