Activision has unveiled a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

These include operator skins for all four turtles (though the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is noted). New melee weapons – a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and staff – are also rumored. The Grind map, a skatepark, is speculated to be a central location for crossover events.

Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current state of Black Ops Cold War. The game is struggling with a high number of bugs and cheaters, leading to a decline in its player base.
