Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Event: Monkey Ball, Altered Beast Crossover

May 12,25

While the global release of Sonic Rumble is still on the horizon, set for May 8th, the excitement is already building with the announcement of a pre-release crossover event. This isn't your typical crossover; it's a celebration of Sega's storied history, bringing iconic characters from Altered Beast, Fantasy Zone, and Super Monkey Ball into the mix.

This unique event kicks off before the worldwide launch, available to players in regions where Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch. From now until May 7th, you can claim the Werewolf character from Altered Beast at no cost. It's a fantastic opportunity to add this classic character to your roster before the game officially hits the global stage.

For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there's even more to look forward to. You'll unlock the Weredragon, another beloved character from Altered Beast, as well as Opa-Opa, Sega's first mascot from the arcade classic Fantasy Zone. These additions are sure to enhance your gameplay experience.

Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Crossover Event**Lucky you** That's not all, though! The in-game Ring Shop will offer additional characters like Upa-Upa and the Werebear. Meanwhile, the Red Star Ring Shop will feature characters from Super Monkey Ball, including AiAi and MeeMee, available for purchase.

Hosting an event of this scale before the official release is certainly unconventional, but it's bound to generate buzz and excitement among those fortunate enough to participate in the soft launch. And, according to Sega, this is just the beginning of a packed calendar filled with crossovers and collaborations planned for Sonic Rumble.
