The Pokémon Company has taken a significant step in addressing the ongoing frustrations fans face when trying to secure the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent statement, the company confirmed that reprints are on the horizon, aiming to alleviate the product shortages that have plagued recent releases.

The launch of the newest set, Destined Rivals, was marred by a series of challenges, including product shortages, pre-order issues, and the inevitable interference of scalpers. High demand has also made other sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box extremely difficult to obtain.

In their official statement on the Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties fans are facing: "We are aware that some fans are experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products due to very high demand impacting availability."

They further elaborated, "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this. Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."

The company also announced plans to enhance production for future TCG expansions to ensure greater product availability at launch. They committed to ongoing reprints of affected products to replenish stock, including at the Pokémon Center.

Addressing the issue of scalpers indirectly, The Pokémon Company emphasized its commitment to a smooth purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. They currently use a virtual queue system during high-traffic periods to prioritize fans. "We are committed to providing a smooth purchasing experience and employ technology that helps get products into the hands of fans first and foremost," they stated.

The company pledged to continue exploring new measures to improve the shopping experience at the Pokémon Center. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers. We’d like to thank the community for their continued support and patience as we work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans."

With these assurances, fans of the Pokémon TCG can hope for a less stressful experience when new sets are released, allowing them to enjoy collecting and playing without the hassle of product scarcity.
