Build A Rocket Boy, the developer behind the highly anticipated game MindsEye, has released an exciting new trailer, set the game's price at $59.99, and provided a detailed overview of what players can expect at launch. Led by former Rockstar North veteran Leslie Benzies, the studio has confirmed that MindsEye will launch on June 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Set in the futuristic city of Redrock, MindsEye offers a gripping linear story campaign where players take on the role of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with fragmented memories from his mysterious MindsEye neural implant. As Diaz, players will unravel a complex conspiracy involving rogue AI, corporate greed, an unchecked military, and a sinister threat that jeopardizes humanity's survival. The game's narrative is enhanced by stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5.

A particularly intriguing feature for PC players is the game's creation system, which allows them to build their own experiences using MindsEye assets. This tool promises to foster a vibrant community of creators and players.

Priced at $59.99, MindsEye offers a more affordable entry point compared to the rising trend of $70 to $80 AAA titles. The studio views this pricing as a refreshing departure from the norm. For your $60, you'll get a rich experience at launch, including the main story campaign, a "single-player free roam" mode, and a variety of missions. These include a horde mode mission named "Destruction Site Shootout," and combat missions such as "Honor Amongst Thieves" and "Friendly Fire." Additionally, there are six races, six checkpoint races, and three drone races. Those opting for the premium pass will enjoy an extra horde mode mission and an exotic cosmetics pack.

The cost of video games remains a hot topic in the industry, especially following recent price hikes by Nintendo and Microsoft. While some mid-range games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and 2K's upcoming Mafia: The Old Country have found success at the $50 mark, MindsEye positions itself as a compelling middle ground.

Looking beyond the launch, Build A Rocket Boy has promised a "constant stream" of new premium content each month, ensuring that MindsEye remains a dynamic, evolving experience. This includes new missions, challenges, and game assets. The studio believes that combining their content with the community's creations will keep players engaged and delighted for years to come.

The studio also outlined its 2025 content roadmap, which includes community updates and new missions in the summer, new single-player modes, multiplayer, and additional missions in the fall, and free roam updates along with new missions in the winter. Premium pass owners will receive extra missions and new packs throughout the year.
