Hunter's Dream Come True: Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT Goes Mobile
Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, this mobile port, currently in beta, is being developed by THQ Nordic and HandyGames for an imminent release.
Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?
While some graphical compromises are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test (CBT) via a tweet, providing a signup form for interested players on their official X account.

Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic, patient gameplay, requiring them to track realistic wildlife across vast open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe. Explore a 55-square-mile hunting ground, utilizing authentic weapons ranging from rifles to bows. Analyze blood splatter and track animal signs to secure your trophy.
The game features a dynamic ecosystem where your actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows you to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge.
