HandyGames Releases a Try & Buy Version for Their Racing Game Wreckfest

You don’t need to pay upfront for one of Android’s most popular racing games. While it’s not completely free, you can test it out before purchasing the full version. HandyGames has released a new Try & Buy version of Wreckfest for Android.

Is Anything Different in the Wreckfest Try & Buy Version?

Technically, no. It lets you download the complete game onto your device and play it for a limited period. You get the same wild racing experience with identical modes and the same lineup of vehicles.

Let’s start with the vehicle roster in the Wreckfest Try & Buy Version. The cars are battered, rusted, and held together with duct tape and determination. You can pick from a wide selection—including American muscle, European hatchbacks, and quirky Asian compacts.

There’s local multiplayer, challenge mode, and a career mode. Race in championships, earn experience, unlock upgrades, and climb to the top. You also have full control over vehicle assists, transmission settings—automatic or manual.

Wreckfest features a soft-body damage system. When your front left fender is smashed, your car starts drifting to the left. Every collision, bump, or scrape directly affects how your vehicle handles.

Will You Try It Now?

If you haven’t experienced the game yet, this is a perfect chance. Wreckfest’s full Windows version first launched in June 2018 after an extended early access phase. It was developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic.

The mobile version arrived in November 2022. Now, with the Try & Buy version, you can dive into the chaos yourself. Explore the new release on the Google Play Store.
