Bethesda and id Software have unveiled an exciting new demonstration of DOOM: The Dark Ages at the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier insider reports that this hellish shooter is slated for release on May 15. This latest installment transports players back to Medieval times, promising a gameplay experience distinctly different from its predecessor, DOOM: Eternal.

In DOOM: The Dark Ages, players will embody the essence of a "killing machine" and a formidable tank. Unlike the constant jumping and parkour of DOOM: Eternal, this game emphasizes ground-based combat. Players will wield a diverse arsenal to obliterate demons, with key tools including a shield and a mace. A groundbreaking addition to the series is the ability to commandeer a giant mech to battle against slightly smaller demons. Furthermore, the campaign offers players the thrilling opportunity to ride a dragon, adding a unique twist to the gameplay.
