Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime Opening Trailer, Featuring Limp Bizkit

Netflix recently dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. The trailer, set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game franchise.

Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision for the series. He explained the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting, highlighting Limp Bizkit's inclusion as a perfect reflection of the era's musical landscape. The soundtrack will also incorporate other period-specific tracks and a synthwave remix of the game's original score by Power Glove.

Shankar hinted at the series' longevity, promising future seasons with distinct visual styles and soundtracks to mirror the diversity of the Devil May Cry games. This subtly confirms plans for multiple seasons beyond the initial run.

Plot specifics remain under wraps. However, it's anticipated that the first season (comprising eight episodes) will adapt elements from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), focusing on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance. This investigation will reportedly force him to confront his father Sparda's demonic legacy and his own family history.
