Dev Tyler Unveils v0.3.4 Update for Schedule I, Now Open for Testing

May 07,25

Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to captivate players, maintaining its status as one of Steam's most-played games. The game has just received its first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, with detailed patch notes shared by its developer, Tyler, on the game’s Steam page. This update is currently available for testing on the beta branch and is set to go live after a brief testing period of one to two days.

Tyler mentioned that while the beta doesn't include all the features planned for the full release, it was crucial to release it early to allow players to test the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface. He plans to add a few more decorative objects on April 8.

Here are the patch notes for Schedule I version 0.3.4:

Additions:

  • Added Bleuballs Boutique interior and functionality.
  • Added Pawn Shop interior and functionality. Players can now sell a variety of items (excluding product) to Mick at the pawn shop.
  • New items added include wooden and metal signs, wall-mounted shelves, safes, antique and modern wall lamps, grandfather clocks, and various luxury items like Ol' Man Jimmy's, Château La Peepee, Brut du Gloop, silver and gold watches, chains, and gold bars.

Tweaks/Improvements:

  • Improved the phrasing in customer recommendation dialogues.
  • Added additional null and validity checks to enhance game stability.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with the delivery destination dropdown overflowing on the phone screen.
  • Resolved a problem with player lists not clearing properly when exiting to the menu.
  • Addressed an issue where non-host clients sometimes didn't receive 'on day pass' and 'on week pass' events.

Schedule I became the top-selling game on Steam upon its launch, surpassing games like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, largely due to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time drug dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, with the goal of becoming a kingpin by managing drug production and distribution, and expanding their empire through properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the banner TVGS, the overwhelming success of Schedule I has been described by Tyler as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." He expressed his surprise at the game's reception and his focus on quickly releasing patches and planning content updates once major bugs are resolved.
