Defeating the Blade Phantom in The First Berserker: Khazan - Strategy Guide
Boss battles in video games can be challenging, especially when you're not fully prepared for what's to come. In *The First Berserker: Khazan*, players must navigate through complex boss encounters, and one such formidable opponent is the Blade Phantom. Here's a detailed guide on how to conquer this spectral adversary in *The First Berserker: Khazan*.
Phase 1

As the battle begins, you'll find yourself in a castle with floors flooded by a crimson liquid. The Blade Phantom employs various attacks:
- A six-hit combo with four punches and two kicks, with the second kick being a delayed attack.
- A three-hit combo consisting of two punches followed by a downward kick.
- A four-hit combo that starts with a right hook, followed by two kicks, and ends with a leaping kick smash.
- A three-hit combo with flashing punches, culminating in a grab that you must dodge.
Aside from these melee attacks, the Blade Phantom can summon a giant hammer, causing damage and red spikes to appear. If it uses a spear, prepare for a quick throw and a subsequent teleporting smash. When wielding a blade, it executes a swift six-hit combo. It can also vanish and dash around the battlefield before striking.
Mastering the timing of these attacks is crucial. Parry or dodge them to create opportunities for counterattacks, gradually depleting the Phantom's stamina for a Brutal Attack. Continue this strategy until you reduce its health by about half, triggering the second phase.
Phase 2

While the claw attacks are new, the Phantom largely repeats its previous moves, with additions like a spear thrust and follow-up, and four to six swift dual-wielding attacks. It teleports more often now, and when equipped with the greatsword, be wary of multiple slashes and the final Burst Attack, signaled by a red P-like symbol on the screen. Use the Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to parry this, restoring your stamina and leaving the boss vulnerable to further attacks.
Exploit the Blade Phantom's stamina depletion to launch Brutal Attacks, but time them carefully to maximize damage. Victory over the Blade Phantom rewards you with 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear items, a Shieldsman’s Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
