Blizzard is once again at the heart of an Overwatch 2 controversy. The recently released Cyber DJ Lucio skin, initially priced at $19.99, was unexpectedly offered for free a day later. This occurred after Blizzard announced a Twitch viewing event on February 12th; viewers watching for an hour received the skin at no cost. This revelation angered many players who had already purchased the skin.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has sold cosmetic items only to later offer them for free through promotions. Players are now demanding refunds, citing unfair practices. The Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the in-game store, but Blizzard has yet to address refund requests.
