This versatile media player doubles as a UPnP DLNA DMR (Digital Media Renderer), offering seamless playback of various media formats. It leverages the Storage Access Framework (SAF) for user-controlled file access.
The player boasts comprehensive subtitle support, including SSA/ASS, SUP (Blu-ray), and VobSub (DVD) formats (VobSub support added in version 5.1 and later). Subtitles can be embedded within MKV files or loaded separately. Users can select individual subtitle files or zipped packages (Zip/7Z/RAR). Advanced subtitle features include dimming for HDR/DV compatibility, adjustable font size, and custom font management.
High-dynamic-range (HDR/DV) content playback is supported, along with digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection and delay adjustment, subtitle selection and timing offsets, frame rate display, and automatic refresh rate adjustment. Pinch-to-zoom and video rotation are also included.
Originally designed for segmented file playback (m3u8 - HLS media lists), the player now supports mp4 and flv files within these playlists.
