Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but voting can be done on the official website.

The choices range from the expected (like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or pencil case) to the utterly bizarre, drawing heavily on the series' famously eccentric history.

Some notable contenders include Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options span the series' history, featuring items like Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

The studio is already planning at least one release for the anniversary year, with Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (presumably a mis-translation of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) arriving on February 21st, 2025. While a second release this year might seem ambitious, RGG Studio is renowned for its prolific output. In the past five years alone, they've released Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and an enhanced Virtua Fighter 5 remaster – a total of nine games.
