The Last Knight adds depth to the Rinascita area, offering a different perspective than the main storyline. While less expansive than major quests, it provides a unique experience and valuable rewards. This walkthrough will help you complete it efficiently.

Starting the Quest

This quest unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves participating in a performance about a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. This enemy isn't difficult; use your strongest attacks.

Mimic Chests Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the highest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests. Three initial chests are safe. In the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is genuine; the others are mimics. Open the correct chest for rewards, then fight off the attacking mimics.

Following the Knight's Trail

Next, visit two locations associated with the "Mad Knight," following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby mentions a strange smell. Follow the marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Using a Questless Knight Echo (in your main Echo slot) is recommended for parrying and stunning it. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "knight" legend was a fabrication by Windmill Keepers. Carlow flees in disbelief.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a plaza. He's confronted by knights. He challenges one to a duel, abandoning the fantasy and embracing the true meaning of protection. The quest concludes after Carlow's challenge, rewarding you with Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
