It Was Random Before

Previously, randomness was a significant aspect of The Battle of Polytopia, with its diverse enemies, resources, and maps constantly keeping players on their toes. However, the latest free update brings a more structured competitive environment.

Now, every week, players are given the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? To achieve the highest score possible within 20 turns. You can attempt this once per day, allowing a maximum of seven tries per week.

An exciting aspect of this new feature is the opportunity to play with tribes you might not yet own. With 16 tribes in total—four included in the base game and twelve available for purchase at $1-4 each—Weekly Challenges allow everyone to compete using the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?

Absolutely! The introduction of Weekly Challenges is set to inject new life into the game. Alongside this, a new League system has been introduced. Everyone starts in the Entry League, and your performance each week determines whether you move up or down. The top third of players advance, the bottom third are relegated, and the middle group remains in place.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level increases. In the Entry League, you'll face Easy AI, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be up against Crazy difficulty bots. And don’t worry, if you miss a week, you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of others.
