Activision has confirmed that the mobile version of the popular battle royale game will no longer receive seasonal updates or new content. The app has been removed from digital storefronts as of May 18th. Real-money purchases have already been disabled, and players who haven't installed the game by the cutoff date will permanently lose access.

This decision marks an abrupt end for a high-profile mobile release that aimed to deliver the complete Warzone experience to mobile audiences. While the developers expressed pride in how accurately the game replicated the Warzone experience on handheld devices, it reportedly failed to resonate with mobile players as strongly as it did with PC and console audiences.

As a consolation, players with remaining COD Points can redeem them in Call of Duty: Mobile. Through August 15th, logging into Call of Duty: Mobile with the same Activision account will grant double the value of your unused Warzone Mobile COD Points, along with additional bonus rewards.
