Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo unleashes another musou-style title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the genre. This roguelite, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors franchise, is available now.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to assemble a team of characters and battle hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective evokes the feel of Diablo and the roguelite Hades.

Gameplay footage revealed teams battling demonic forces from "hell," showcasing characters like Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang from various Warriors games.

According to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit and add characters to their team, unlocking additional summoning abilities. Battles support up to seven active heroes, with 100 warriors available at launch.

Koei Tecmo plans to expand the roster with additional characters, beginning with those from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. Further additions are teased, hinting at the possibility of characters from outside the Warriors series joining the fray.

Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled for February 13, 2025. Players seeking the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
