Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the first installment of their new narrative adventure. Players can now experience Tape 1, with Tape 2 launching free to all owners on April 15th.

Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the echoes of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.

Blending the nostalgic charm of coming-of-age stories with the suspense of psychological thrillers, the game draws inspiration from titles like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The game's structure is divided into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this chilling narrative, is available (as of February 18th).

Rage, also known as "The Tape," will arrive on April 15th. Its initial March release was delayed to allow for further refinement.

The review embargo has concluded, and OpenCritic shows an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this captivating mystery.
