What is a Snap Recap?

Unlike other year-in-review features, Snap Recap doesn't focus on quantifiable data like the number of Snaps sent. It's a curated selection of your Snaps, offering a nostalgic journey through your 2024. The recap seamlessly transitions into the Memories feature, allowing you to explore flashbacks from previous years.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Your personalized Snap Recap is automatically generated. To view it:

1. On the main camera screen, swipe up to access Memories (avoid pressing the shutter button).
2. Locate your 2024 Snap Recap – it's usually prominently displayed at the top of the Memories screen.

Tap the recap (avoiding the share icon) to start the slideshow. The recap plays automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance through the Snaps. You can save, edit, share, or even add your Snap Recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your 2024 Snap Recap isn't showing up, don't worry. Snapchat Support states that the rollout is gradual, and yours may simply not be ready yet. The availability of a recap also depends on several factors, including the number of saved Snaps. Consistent Snapchat usage is key. Unfortunately, you can't request a recap if it's not generated automatically.
