Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the cult classic, has faced yet another delay, now rescheduled for a release in October 2025. This news was shared through the game's official Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update from Executive Producer Marco Behrmann.

In the video, Behrmann stated that while the core development of the game is complete, the team at Paradox is now focusing on bug fixing, stability, and performance enhancements. This shift in focus aims to ensure that players receive the best possible experience upon release. As a result, the series of Dev Diaries that have been keeping the community updated on characters, stories, and mechanics will be temporarily paused to allow the developers to concentrate on these critical improvements.

A History of Delays

First announced in March 2019, Bloodlines 2 was initially set to launch in March 2020 under the development of Hardsuit Labs. However, delays began to mount, with the first pushback announced in October 2019, moving the release to an unspecified date in 2020, and later to 2021. Amid these delays, several key team members departed the project.

In February 2021, Paradox Interactive made the significant decision to transition development from Hardsuit Labs to The Chinese Room. Under this new team, the game's release was targeted for late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to the end of 2025.
