The Nintendo Switch is ending its run with a bang, launching several exciting titles before its successor, the officially announced Switch 2, takes the stage. These upcoming Switch games, both Switch exclusives and ports, will cap off the console's final year, and will also be playable on the Switch 2 upon release.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection (February 27, 2025)

Duelists, get ready! This collection features 16 classic Yu-Gi-Oh! games, primarily from the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance eras, including 2001's The Eternal Duelist Soul and 2002's The Sacred Cards.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars (March 6, 2025)

Konami's beloved RPGs receive another remaster. Originally on PlayStation, then remastered for PSP, these classic titles get a fresh HD coat of paint for the Switch in early 2025.

MLB The Show 25 (March 15, 2025)

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, MLB The Show 25 features Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson on the cover. Expect enhanced baseball mechanics, including a new Ambush Hitting difficulty, and more personalization in Road to the Show mode.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land (March 21, 2025)

Koei Tecmo's Atelier series welcomes new alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt and companions. Unravel the mysteries of a fallen empire using synthesis skills and real-time combat.

Based on the rebooted Care Bears: Unlock the Magic cartoon, this arcade-style game features Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Funshine Bear, and more.

An indie adventure game set on an alien planet. Explore on your hoverboard, battle enemies, solve puzzles, and reunite with your lost love.

Rusty Rabbit (April 17, 2025)

Years in the making, this side-scrolling action platformer finally arrives. Play as Stamp, a middle-aged rabbit in a mech, traversing a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

LUNAR Remastered Collection (April 18, 2025)

Remastered versions of LUNAR: Silver Star Story and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue, featuring enhanced graphics and English/Japanese voice acting.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (May 16, 2025)

Another fighting game compilation! This one features titles from 1998-2004, including Capcom vs. SNK and the Power Stone series, in both English and Japanese.

The long-awaited sequel to Fantasy Life. This "slow-life" RPG blends adventure and life-sim elements, letting players build a life and city on a deserted island.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (May 30, 2025)

The popular RPG returns. As an Earth Dancer, battle monsters and restore villages in Azuma. Expect enhanced action, anime-style visuals, improved performance, and a new storyline, plus fully voiced romance options.

The Nintendo Switch 2: Release Date

Following a year of rumors, Nintendo officially announced the Switch 2 on January 16th. While the announcement trailer showcased new features (including Joy-Con mouse functionality), specifics on specs, game launches, pricing, and a release date are expected in a Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2nd.

The trailer confirmed backward compatibility for the Switch 2, supporting both physical and digital Switch games. A new Mario Kart title appears in the trailer, and leaks suggest ports of games like Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake.
