Wuthering Waves: Conquering the Thorncrown Rises Towers – A Comprehensive Guide

This guide details the locations and walkthroughs for the three towers in Thorncrown Rises within Wuthering Waves, part of the Shadow of the Past quest. Each tower presents unique challenges and rewards.

Botim, situated south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon, initiates the Shadow of the Past quest. He explains the tower infestation by shadowy creatures and offers rewards for their elimination.

Thorncrown Rises Tower Locations

Three towers comprise this quest, each triggering a sub-quest:

• Resounding Rise: Northeastern tower.
• Twilight Rise: Southern tower.
• Command Rise: Southwestern tower.

Resounding Rise

The Resounding Rise tower lies northeast of Thorncrown Rises. Speak with Itzel, east of the tower, to begin. The quest involves navigating the tower's interior, defeating Abyssal Mercators, and arranging paintings in a specific order:

1. Interact with the hallway painting.
2. Follow the Abyssal Mercator, defeating it and collecting chests along the way (north, west, east).
3. Enter the second painting.
4. Defeat more enemies and collect chests.
5. Follow the Abyssal Mercator, defeat it, and interact with the painting.
6. Open the chest to stop the shooting enemies and defeat the blocking enemy.
7. Arrange the paintings: Top-left to bottom-right, then the painting behind the top-left to the bottom-left, the top-right to the top-left, and finally the painting behind the bottom-right to the top-right.
8. Claim the Premium Supply chest.
9. Defeat the final Abyssal Mercator, speak with Itzel, and claim the Tidal Supply chest. This weakens a Command Rise barrier.

Twilight Rise

Proceed southeast to the Twilight Rise tower and speak with Insula to enter. The quest involves a time loop:

1. Investigate the marked spots.
2. Talk to Insula.
3. Enter the secret passage.
4. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
5. Collect the Supply chest and follow the Patricius.
6. Defeat the Patricius again.
7. Talk to Insula.
8. Collect the Tidal Supply chest.

This completes the Twilight Rise quest and weakens the second Command Rise barrier.

Command Rise

After completing the previous two quests, the Command Rise sub-quest begins.

1. Speak with Insula and Itzel northeast of the tower.
2. Use the Wingray to reach the tower.
3. Enter and follow the quest marker.
4. Collect Supply chests (west of moving libraries, between jars, after defeating enemies).
5. Use the Grapple to climb, collecting chests and Sonance Caskets along the way.
6. Use the chandelier mechanism to reach the top.
7. Speak with Insula and Itzel after discovering Liel's demise.
8. Use the portal to fight the Abyssal Patricius, claiming the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.

Exiting the portal and speaking with Insula and Itzel awards the King of Thessaleo and Shadow of the Tower achievements.
