Solve the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: A Step-by-Step Guide

This guide details how to conquer the intricate Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, unlocking the mystery of the giants. Remember to photograph every clue (statues, murals, inscriptions) to earn Adventure Points!

Accessing the Puzzle:

After completing the Sacred Wounds puzzle, use your journal's map to locate the Fountain of Confession in the outer courtyard. You'll find it accessible via a set of stairs.

Phase 1: The Dragon Statues:

1. Locate the chest near the fountain's construction area. Inside is the fountain key, granting access to the adjacent storage room.

2. Use your whip to rappel to the rooftop, then swing across to the window overlooking the fountain.

3. You'll see two dragon statues. Swing to the second statue and retrieve the detached dragon claw.

4. Use the lever on the statue to rotate it, facing it towards the opposite dragon. Repeat this process on the other statue. Note the missing claw.

5. The missing claw is on the scaffolding below. Retrieve it (a cutscene with Gina Lombardi will ensue).

6. Replace the claw and rotate both statues so they face each other. This rotates the central fountain statue, revealing a hidden gate.

Phase 2: The Blocked Gate:

A gate now appears, blocked by three statues. A lever appears on the fountain; activating it reveals the first wall puzzle.

Phase 3: The Wall Puzzles:

• Puzzle 1: Position the larger male statue under the water bucket. Activate the water mechanism. Then, push the statue towards the smaller statue to "baptize" it. This moves one statue.

• Puzzle 2: Use the handles on the second wall puzzle to align the path, moving the angel figure to the right. This moves the second statue.

Final Step:

Push the remaining central statue through the gate. This activates a spiral staircase, leading to the next part of the game.
