Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Act 3's Secret Treasure

Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, but some remain hidden, never appearing in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. While labeled "Quest Items," they function differently. Unlike typical Quest Items, finding a Golden Idol doesn't trigger a new quest entry. Instead of advancing a questline for a reward, these idols are valuable trade goods.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols. Two more await in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't random enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded chambers.

Cashing In Your Discoveries

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and sell your idols to Oswald, located in the north of the area. He's the only vendor who will accept them. The gold payout per idol is as follows:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Given their limited use, it's advisable to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
