Use the Parabolic Microphone to listen for specific ghost sounds like a Banshee's scream or a Myling's frequent noises. You begin the challenge with virtually no setup time and zero sanity, making you immediately susceptible to ghost hunts. With no way to restore sanity, even with the provided Sanity Medications, you'll need to navigate this investigation under extreme conditions. Despite the lack of evidence-gathering tools, the ghost will be highly active, providing frequent events that can help you understand its unique behaviors. Remember, the ghost's favorite room remains constant, even if it roams.

Most doors will be partially open, making it harder to pinpoint the ghost's location. However, the fuse box will be functional and turned on, which is a rare advantage. All nine hiding spots at 42 Edgefield Road will be available, offering ample places to hide during hunts.

You'll have the Monkey Paw as your Cursed Possession. Using it to "wish for knowledge" can burn out incorrect evidence and ghost types in your Journal, narrowing down your options. However, this wish comes at a high cost: temporary blindness and deafness, followed by a Cursed Hunt. This strategy is best for groups, where one player can act as a sacrifice without endangering the investigation.

How to Access Challenge Mode in Phasmophobia

To access Challenge Mode, go to the Main Menu and select either Singleplayer or Multiplayer to start a new lobby.
