DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute sneak peek offers a closer look at the rich ensemble of superheroes and villains that will grace the screen.

The trailer showcases Nathan Fillion in action as Guy Gardner, the Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes with a mere flick of his hand. Isabela Merced brings Hawkgirl to life, and we get our most detailed view yet of María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer. It's revealed in the trailer that The Engineer is responsible for destroying the robots, including Kelex, that tend to Superman in the Fortress of Solitude—a scene that was teased in an earlier trailer where Superman was seen cradling a damaged Kelex.

Adding to the excitement, we see Krypto the Superdog in action, courageously throwing a flying punch at The Engineer during their confrontation. This highlights Krypto's fearless nature in battling evil forces.

The trailer also features Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in intense sequences. We get more glimpses of Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason, aka Metamorpho. Additionally, the Hammer of Boravia, introduced in a previous teaser, makes a significant appearance. This character, a new creation by Gunn, is speculated to be Ultraman in disguise.

The trailer delves into the dynamic between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, showcasing a pivotal interview where Lois questions Clark in his Superman persona. The conversation escalates into a heated argument over Superman's controversial decision to intervene in a foreign war ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). This leads to the Hammer of Boravia launching an attack on Downtown Metropolis as a direct response to Superman's actions.

In a poignant moment from the battle with the Hammer of Boravia, a civilian is seen helping Superman out of a hole, providing a stark contrast to other scenes where the public is depicted as hostile, screaming at Superman and even hurling objects at him.
