The boys are back in town — and by the boys, we mean Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. South Park is gearing up for an eagerly awaited Season 27, where our beloved Colorado crew is set to tackle the current state of affairs in their unique, irreverent way.

The much-anticipated animated series has released a trailer that cleverly tricks the audience into believing they're getting a sneak peek at a new drama. With intense editing and suspenseful music setting the stage, the trailer initially delivers ominous vibes. However, the mood quickly shifts as Randy and Shelley Marsh appear, with Randy asking Shelley if she's been taking drugs. "Because I think it could really help you," he remarks, sitting on her bed with a Wicked movie poster in the background, injecting a dose of South Park humor into the dramatic setup.

South Park Season 27 premieres Wednesday, July 9th.

After the humorous twist, the trailer reverts to showcasing intense action, teasing several significant and timely events expected in the upcoming season. Viewers can expect to see dramatic scenes involving multiple plane crashes, the toppling of the Statue of Liberty, an appearance by P. Diddy, and yet another conflict with Canada — a recurring theme that fans have come to love, especially if they've seen the 1999 film South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

The teaser confirms that Season 27 of South Park will premiere on July 9, 2025, on Comedy Central. This comes over two years after the conclusion of Season 26. In the interim, the series has kept fans engaged with three specials: 2023's South Park: Joining the Panderverse and South Park (Not Suitable For Children), followed by 2024's South Park: The End of Obesity.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, South Park has been a staple on Comedy Central since its debut in 1997, consistently delivering sharp social commentary and satire to its dedicated audience.
