Elliot Page's Pageboy Productions is adapting Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls into a television series.

According to Deadline, Page's production company has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to develop the video game into a TV show. The project, currently in early development, aims to retain the game's nonlinear narrative structure. Further details, including casting and release dates, remain undisclosed.

Page described his experience filming the game as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career, adding that the story's emotional depth provides a strong foundation for the adaptation. He emphasized the team's desire to create a unique vision that resonates with both existing fans and new viewers.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, highlighted the team's commitment to honoring the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He emphasized the narrative's exploration of survival and the impact of critical decisions.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later appeared on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019). Directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a girl with psychic abilities connected to a spirit named Aiden. The game is renowned for its nonlinear storytelling and its star-studded cast, including Page and Willem Dafoe.

David Cage confirmed his collaboration with Page on the TV series, although the specifics of his involvement remain unclear. He expressed his excitement about reuniting with Page and his confidence in Page's ability to create a unique television adaptation.

The Beyond: Two Souls TV series is still in its early stages. For now, you can read IGN's original review of the game here and all of our Quantic Dream game reviews here.
