Sony Unveils Sleek Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Accessories

Sony has unveiled its highly anticipated Midnight Black Collection for the PlayStation 5, adding a touch of dark elegance to its lineup of gaming peripherals. The collection includes four premium accessories: the DualSense Edge wireless controller, the PlayStation Portal handheld remote player, the Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.

All accessories boast a sophisticated Midnight Black finish. The DualSense Edge controller, PlayStation Portal, and Pulse Explore earbuds are priced at $199.99 each, while the Pulse Elite headset is slightly more affordable at $149.99. This pricing reflects the premium features and build quality of these devices. Note that the Pulse Elite headset's predecessor, the Pulse 3D wireless headset, was priced at $99.99.

Pre-orders for the Midnight Black Collection begin January 16th, 2025, at 10am ET, exclusively through direct.playstation.com. The full launch is scheduled for February 20th, 2025.

This launch coincides with the buzz surrounding CES 2025 and follows Sony's previous releases of color variants for its controllers and headsets. Rumors also suggest a significant upgrade to the PlayStation VR2 headset may be on the horizon.
