Sony's anticipated February PlayStation State of Play broadcast is reportedly slated for next week. NateTheHate, a leaker with a proven track record (including accurately predicting the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date), hinted at a State of Play airing during Valentine's Day week (February 10th-14th).

So, what might Sony unveil? Let's speculate! Several first-party titles slated for 2025 release are strong contenders. Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei, for example, could receive a gameplay showcase and official release date. Bungie's Marathon, a PvP extraction shooter, might also appear, especially if playtesting plans for this year remain on track. Haven Studios' debut title, Fairgames, is another possibility. While less likely, new footage of Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (also a 2025 release) is a reasonable expectation.

However, don't expect to see any of the recently canceled live-service games. Last month, Sony axed two unannounced live-service projects from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games (the latter reportedly a God of War live-service title). Bend Studio's canceled game remains a mystery. Guerrilla Games' live-service Horizon project, however, reportedly survived the cuts—could this finally be its time to shine?

Regarding third-party announcements, while Kojima's Physint (a stealth-action PlayStation exclusive) is a possibility, it might be too early. Phantom Blade Zero, a hack-and-slash action RPG from S-Game, is a more likely candidate.

And let's not forget Microsoft's presence on PlayStation. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is launching soon on PS5; a release date announcement is possible. Could Microsoft also use this opportunity to finally announce a Halo title for PlayStation?

Looking back at last year's State of Play offers clues. It featured Death Stranding 2, Physint, Rise of the Ronin, the Until Dawn remaster, Stellar Blade, Dragon's Dogma 2, Sonic x Shadow Generations, various Silent Hill projects, Ken Levine's Judas, Foamstars, and Helldivers 2.
