Following its announcement in June 2020 and several teasers, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta launch date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. However, developer Full Circle continues to encourage player participation as active development continues.

To participate in the beta, visit EA's official website and navigate to the skate. page to register for the Skate Insider Playtest. In addition to early access to the game, testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, the game is designed as a free-to-play, live-service title promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
