My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I dive in deep with each new set release, playing intensely to earn Emblems for around 40 wins. After that, my engagement shifts to a more casual routine: logging in daily to open packs, enjoying a quick Wonder Pick, and then moving on until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will enrich the TCG Pocket experience with 110 new cards. This includes a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards that fans have grown to adore. The highlight, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of beloved Pokemon. For instance, you'll see Lucario in yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu with a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come. A standout is the new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery that deals 150 damage, albeit at a steep cost of five energy. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making the high energy requirement more manageable.

Another exciting addition is the new Ex version of Lucario. Previously more of a support player in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration is ready for frontline action. With 150 HP, its Aura Sphere attack is noteworthy, dealing 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and also hitting a Benched Pokemon for 30 damage.

The trailer also showcases other charming cards like Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom, all of which are visually appealing. Additionally, there's a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
