Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game, along with its developer. The game, titled "Star Wars: Zero Company," is being crafted by Bit Reactor, with assistance from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. This exciting new title promises to be a "single-player turn-based tactics game," offering fans a fresh way to experience the Star Wars universe.

While details about Zero Company remain sparse, anticipation is high. EA has announced that they will provide a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19. This event promises to shed more light on what fans can expect from this innovative title.

Bit Reactor, the studio behind Zero Company, is a newly-formed strategy game developer, established in 2022. The team boasts veterans from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it's been known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this is the first time we're getting concrete details about their work together.

The extent of Respawn's involvement in Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced several setbacks recently, including the cancellation of their own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, coupled with significant layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS incubation project just last month.

Eager fans won't have to wait much longer for more information. A live panel dedicated to Star Wars: Zero Company is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For those in the U.S., that translates to an early morning reveal at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so make sure to set your alarms if you don't want to miss out on the latest updates.
