Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and game modes, including a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free items, such as a Thor skin. This guide focuses on completing the Recursive Destruction challenge in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original form. Not all destructible objects work; identifying the correct targets is key.

Locating Destructible Objects

Utilize Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad button) to highlight destructible objects on the map. Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.

Completing the Recursive Destruction Challenge

This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be present. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction. Destroy these buildings multiple times. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but several hits should suffice. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
