With the rise of PC gaming handhelds, the vast library of games available on Steam and other PC platforms is now accessible anytime, anywhere. The top-tier gaming handhelds come with a high price, so securing one at a discount is ideal. The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X is among the latest flagship handhelds and arguably the best on the market. It’s priced at $1,000 nearly everywhere, except for a few select retailers.

AliExpress is currently offering imported units for $915.27 after applying the $60 off coupon code "60USAFF". This is the lowest price found for a brand new listing since its launch in October 2025. The seller, "Lucky Tech Store," has built a solid reputation for selling imported Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 consoles. The Xbox Ally X ships from a U.S. warehouse, with most orders arriving within a week—so no worries about import duties, fees, or excessively long delivery times.

Another available option is a pre-owned unit. Best Buy offers open box models starting at $919.99 for "Good" condition and $949.99 for "Excellent" condition. These are pre-owned devices, but they are Geek Squad verified, and higher-rated units may still include some of their original warranty coverage.

The Xbox Ally X Is the New Handheld Gaming PC to Beat

The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X is the most powerful handheld gaming PC available today. It features the latest AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It runs on Windows with full Xbox integration. The naming might be confusing, but the Xbox Ally X is better understood as an evolution of the previous year’s Asus ROG Ally X rather than a true Xbox console. Jacqueline Thomas captures it well in her Xbox Ally X review:

"The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X is a compelling device. While marketed as a handheld Xbox, it’s really a follow-up to last year’s exceptional Asus ROG Ally X. The Xbox aspect is undeniable, as it’s the first device to launch with support for the new Xbox Full Screen Experience. This enables the handheld to boot directly into the Xbox App within Windows—skipping Explorer and all non-gaming background processes that typically load on Windows 11 startup. In many ways, this partnership feels like Microsoft’s answer to the rise of SteamOS, and for the first time since the Steam Deck launched in 2022, it might finally have a competitor that’s just as user-friendly."

Jackie also notes, "The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X is easily the best handheld gaming PC currently available." Compared to other handhelds with the same Z2 Extreme CPU, the Xbox Ally X offers excellent value. The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is priced at $1,100, and the MSI Claw A8 at $1,150.
