Pokémon Snooze: Pocket Sleep's Enigma Revealed
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Sleep is a debilitating status condition. This guide explains what it does, how to cure it, and which cards inflict it.
What is Sleep?
Sleep renders a Pokémon unable to attack, use abilities, or retreat. It effectively immobilizes your active Pokémon.
Curing Sleep
There are three primary ways to wake a sleeping Pokémon:
- Coin Toss: Each turn, a coin toss determines if the Pokémon wakes up. This is a random chance.
- Evolution: Evolving a sleeping Pokémon cures the Sleep condition.
- Koga Trainer Card: This card specifically returns a sleeping Weezing or Muk to your hand.
The coin toss method relies on luck, potentially leaving your Pokémon vulnerable for multiple turns. Evolution offers a more reliable, albeit less immediate, solution.

Hypno: The Most Dangerous Sleep Card
Hypno stands out due to its ability to inflict Sleep from the bench, without needing Energy. This makes it a powerful support card for Psychic decks, complementing strong attackers like Mewtwo ex. While other cards can inflict Sleep, Hypno's strategic advantage currently makes it the most competitive option.
