Pokémon Go's Holiday Part One event kicks off December 17th and runs through the 22nd, bringing festive cheer and exciting opportunities. This initial phase features double XP for catching Pokémon, halved egg hatching distances, and a host of costumed Pokémon.

New additions include a holiday-themed Dedenne (with a shiny variant!), and the first-ever appearance of Shiny Sandygast. Wild encounters feature Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka, while raids offer a seasonal roster. One-star raids boast Pikachu and Psyduck in festive attire; three-star raids include Glaceon (Undersea Holiday outfit) and Cryogonal; and Mega Raids feature Mega Latias and Mega Latios.

7km Eggs hold the potential for Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Players can earn rewards through event-themed Field Research, a paid Timed Research ($2.00), and Collection Challenges (offering Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls). Don't forget to check out PokéStop Showcases to display your festive Pokémon.
