Discover Pokémon Pokopia: A Relaxing Life Simulation Adventure

Nintendo has unveiled an exciting new Pokémon spin-off, Pokémon Pokopia, where players gather resources and craft furniture to shape their own unique world. It’s a familiar concept, but with a fresh twist.

Similar to Animal Crossing, Pokopia promises a calm and enjoyable experience. As you progress, you’ll learn and apply various Pokémon abilities to build a cozy home for yourself and your Pokémon companions.

You take on the role of a human-shaped Ditto, gradually mastering the powers of other creatures. For instance, the Grass-type Bulbasaur grants you the ability to grow plants, while mastering the Water-type Squirtle lets you water them to help them thrive. You can reshape the landscape by punching it, inspired by Hitmonchan, or construct wooden structures by learning from Timburr’s building skills.

The full scale of the game’s world remains unknown, but the debut trailer showcases players using Scyther’s swift strikes to clear dense foliage and Drilbur’s digging skills to redirect a waterfall’s flow. A Diglett is seen tending to a small vegetable patch, hinting at farming elements.

Later scenes reveal a serene beach area and the interior of a more refined, inviting house. The game also features a visible day-night cycle, adding depth to the atmosphere.

Today’s Nintendo Direct September 2025 brought major updates across the board—from Mario and Pokémon to Yoshi and Fire Emblem. For more details, explore everything revealed in the full event.
