Pokemon Legends: Z-A: August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

An unconfirmed release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This potential release date emerged from an Amazon UK listing in early January 2025, quickly retracted to the standard placeholder date. The August date aligns with The Pokemon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokemon Day celebrations, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Following the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, this new title is expected to continue the open-ended experience prioritizing collection over traditional gym battles and the Pokemon League. Details remain scarce since its announcement.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible?

While the Amazon leak remains unverified, an official announcement seems likely soon. Considering the original game's announcement during Pokemon Day 2024, the 2025 Pokemon Day event (February 27th) is a prime candidate for a release date reveal. This date is supported by recent datamining in the Pokemon GO code.

Beyond the release date, fans anticipate a gameplay trailer, potentially debuting at the same February 27th event.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A will launch on Nintendo Switch, and will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2 thanks to confirmed backward compatibility. Unlike its predecessor, which only received one free post-launch DLC, future paid DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a possibility.
