Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025, a three-day extravaganza, will take place across three international cities in May and June 2025:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
• Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay features, and bonuses. In-person attendees will enjoy unique experiences within each host city. Tickets are required for participation, both for in-person and online components.

Rare Pokémon Encounters and More!

A key attraction of Pokémon GO Fest is the chance to encounter rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Increased Shiny Pokémon rates are also a highlight, varying by location based on Pokémon habitats.

In-person events provide additional benefits, including exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for trainer meetups. While specifics for 2025 remain under wraps, the event will largely mirror the format of previous years.

Two More Pokémon GO Events in January 2025!

Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. This event introduces Shadow Palkia, Shroodle, and Grafaiai, alongside other Shadow Pokémon and a fashionable Croagunk encounter.

Shadow Raid Day: January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. This event features Shadow Ho-Oh in five-star raids. A paid ticket grants additional Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% XP bonus from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh and its signature move, Sacred Fire (via Charged TM), are also potential rewards.
