Get ready, Pikmin Bloom enthusiasts! The game is celebrating its 3.5th anniversary next month with an exciting event kicking off on May 1st, 2025. Niantic is diving into nostalgia by bringing back classic gadgets, giving players a chance to relive the golden days of Nintendo.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with unique decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will make its debut, paying homage to Nintendo's early days as a playing card manufacturer before venturing into video games. The card designs are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage decks.

The anniversary event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you a whole month to engage in missions and collect these nostalgic Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions rewards you with random items like Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear. By smashing them, you can obtain Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May brings a floral spectacle, with the possibility of blooming into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses. Planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around these flowers can yield stunning results.

There’s also a nectar update for May. Fruits from mushrooms will now provide nectar not just for regular flowers but also for special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
