Available now on iOS from developer Philipp Stollenmayer, PBJ - The Musical is, as expected, a music-themed game. It offers a hand-animated adventure through a lively reimagining of Romeo & Juliet, starring a strawberry and a dollop of peanut butter.

Admittedly, that description might still leave some questions unanswered. But PBJ - The Musical delivers challenging obstacle-course puzzles and a fully orchestrated soundtrack. You can even unlock new remixes of the extensive musical score, all while enjoying charming hand-animated paper craft visuals.

PBJ - The Musical is definitely one of those games that relies partly on its quirky premise to catch your eye—and it certainly succeeds at that. At the same time, having seen some gameplay, I suspect it will be a love-it-or-hate-it experience.

In my view, PBJ - The Musical is best suited for a younger audience. Beyond the musical elements and delightfully absurd storyline, the game appears to be an on-rails puzzle experience focused more on enjoyment and rhythm than intense brain-teasers.
