Lychee Game’s Patch Quest is now available on Android, published by Crunchyroll. Initially launched in early access on PC in May 2021, it received a full release in March 2023. The game combines elements of roguelike, bullet hell, metroidvania, and monster-taming genres.

Navigate a Dynamic Patchwork Maze Teeming with Creatures in Patch Quest

Set on the island of Patchlantis, the game features a constantly shifting layout, ensuring each adventure feels unique.

Your primary tool is the lasso, a versatile asset in gameplay. It serves as more than just equipment—it’s essential for survival. Use it to capture over 50 unique monster species, with additional subspecies offering diverse ways to navigate or endure challenging battles.

Every creature can be tamed, ridden, and used to explore the perilous terrain. Some can fly, others swim, tunnel underground, or dart through tight spaces. For example, the Buzzerker transforms into a living spear, the Sandamander burrows to safety, the Torrentoise deflects attacks with its shell, and the Combusdile creates a fiery barrier.

What’s the Combat Like?

The game features an intense bullet-hell combat system. Enemies unleash waves of projectiles as you harness mounted abilities. Each unsuccessful run yields rewards like new shortcuts, stronger companions, or deeper insight into the island’s mechanics.

Over 200 plants and minerals are scattered across Patchlantis. Many fruits can be blended into ammo smoothies for buffs, while others unlock new gear to enhance mobility and strategic options.

Crunchyroll subscribers can download Patch Quest from the Google Play Store.
