Fumi Games and PlaySide Studio have unveiled new details about their upcoming title, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire. This first-person shooter, distinguished by its striking 1930s cartoon aesthetic, casts players as private investigator Jack Pepper. He'll navigate a world brimming with jazz, dynamic events, and the thrilling mystery at the heart of the game.

A key announcement, made via the game's official X page, confirms the absence of microtransactions. The developers stated emphatically: "MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will NOT contain microtransactions. We are creating a stunning single player shooter full of noir atmosphere and explosive combat scenes that we put our hearts into creating." This commitment is notable, particularly within the indie game landscape.

Inspired by the rubber hose animation style of the 1930s, MOUSE offers a unique visual experience. Players will explore a noir-infused city teeming with mobs, gangs, and shady characters. The gameplay involves a mix of classic first-person shooter mechanics and humorous elements, including whimsical weaponry, a distinctive health display, and cartoonish enemies. Expect plenty of action as you utilize a variety of weapons, power-ups, and explosives to thwart corrupt politicians and bring justice to the chaotic city.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is slated for release sometime in 2025.
